Australian Blackwood'Evil Eye' Book-match Set luthier Guitar Building Wood

  

I have had a lot of Australian Blackwood come through the Luthier Wood workshop over the past few years, but this has to be the rarest and most unusual. This is a really rare example of a'lattice' growth, taken from the outside of a trunk where the outside grain growths in a lattice style effect, criss-crossing to create these fantastic birds-eye style effect. The'eyes' do have tiny opening that run right through the sets, so depending n your project you may want to fill with either clear, black or maybe something really colourful like gold or silver to make some fantastic effects!
