Back only tragic turtleshell figure ipe tonewood guitar luthier set back only

  
100+ Guitar sets in stock! Please check my other listings. I have relisted this as the back only or perhaps an electric laminate- NO SIDES. Possibly only useful as laminates, this very tragic turtleshell figured ipe guitar set has backs set-irregularly shaped about 21 long, 8.1 wide, sanded to approximately 0.100 Unfortunately, the extreme figure combined with the extreme hardness(janka over 3500) of this wood has resulted in many seasoning checks, some actual voids and other problems inside the guitar pattern.

So will require some miraculous extra work, but exceedingly rare/unusual. I have tried to circle defects in some pics-there are probably more than I circled.

Probably the most beautiful and definitely the most tragic wood I have seen. Probably only safe to use as a laminate over some substrate of your choosing(perhaps world only ipe/ nomex guitar). Again this is a back set only, or perhaps an electric top- no sides with this sale. The edges have not been jointed.
