Beautiful figure curly hard maple tonewood guitar luthier set back sides

  

Beautiful Kentucky curly maple guitar set. Backs irregularly shaped about 8.2 wide at lower bout, 22 long and sanded to about 0.140. Side are 5 to 4.2 wide, 32 long, sanded to about 0.140. Very beautiful old curly maple I acquired from estate of my mentor, while obviously not quartersawn, this wood is very beautiful, flat and stable. This log was originally sawn in 1977.

It has suffered from being stored too long, with some insect damage just near the upper bout please see photos 4 and 5- just outside my dred pattern.
