Music for the Holidays Played on Vintage, Exotic, Unusual Guitars and Other Stringed Instruments. Ive encountered Gregg while doing various guitar history research projects. At one point I sent him something he could use for his own projects and he sent me a couple copies of his Christmas music CDs as a thank you. I play one set during the holidays.

I dont need TWO copies. Basically these are a lot of Christmas Standards played on cool, interesting instruments. I tried to get closeups of the backs of my copy so you can read the playlist. Here are a few examples to give you an idea of what youll get.

Jesu, Joy of Mans Desiring played on a Gibson Mandolin Orchestra (overdubbed mandos). A Charlie Brown Christmas Medley on a Gibson Harp-guitar. Still, Still, Still on a German Theorbo.

Of The Fathers Love Begotten on Irish Harp. The Holly and the Ivy on American zithers. Angels We Have Heard On High on chitarrone, viola da gamba and tromba marina. O Come, O Come, Emmanuel on Koto. Includes a thick information booklet about the instruments played.

I couldnt find mine to photograph, but theres one bound in the shrink-wrapped set. CONDITION: BRAND NEW in the original shrink wrap, never opened or played.

Gregg is an accomplished musician, so this is more than just odd instruments! This is a great way to have something both festive and different for your holiday celebrations!
